Durango Modern Ranch Wedding

Featured Stories Wedding

Durango is a pretty incredible place to host a wedding.  Within Colorado, I don't typically get down to Durango to photograph weddings there too frequently. But when the chance arises, it's always something incredible. From rolling green hills, to a beautiful sense of quietness, Durango has really spoken to me as a finite, magical corner of Colorado.

Chelsea and Sam, living in Brooklyn, planned this modern ranch wedding at their family property from afar and wanted to incorporate a lot of their aesthetic and design principles into their wedding. From a tent that is almost like an installation to a ceremony backdrop made of LEDs, the attention to detail was immaculate, but also not overdone or expected. It's this sense of meaningfulness—the attention to details but the focus on people—that makes collaborating with couples so exciting. I love getting to capture a vision that couples curate into existence and this wedding was one of my favorites.
